Stem Cell Therapy: The Process

August 28, 2019

Stem Cell Therapy is a regenerative, minimally-invasive procedure that uses your own stem cells to potentially treat joint pain. If you have chronic knee, hip, or lower back pain, contact us to find out more about this innovative stem cell procedure.

The Stem Cell Therapy Process:

  1. Stem cells are taken from the bone marrow (Bone Marrow Aspirate). Cells are harvested under “conscious sedation” if requested to ensure additional comfort if needed.
  2. The bone marrow is placed in a centrifuge machine to concentrate the most valuable substances (unlike many other clinics who do not purify the cells). We are one of a very few facilities with a true cell analyzer and will be able to tell you the type of cells extracted and the exact number of specialized cells we are injecting.
  3. The concentrated sample is injected directly into the injured area to attempt the repair of damaged tissue. We are partnering with Dr John Feller and Dr Steve Gunberg at Desert Medical Imaging. Injections will be accurate to within a millimeter under CT guidance.
