The WellMax Biophysical is not just a lab test, and it is more powerful than the one direct from the lab.  Here’s why:

1. We will arrange for the blood to be drawn where you are, anywhere in the USA. Same price.  And we will do more:

2. WellMax Patient Wellness Advocates will obtain your old records, including previous lab tests, doctors’ notes, and imaging studies. These Advocates will do the work for you: calling the hospitals, doctor offices, and imaging centers.

3. We send you a detailed Medical History Questionnaire so we understand many specifics. Lab test results in light of symptoms, or absence of symptoms, have very different meanings.

4. Dr. Cosgrove or Dr. David Tang will review your medical records, scrutinize your BP 250, and read every word of your medical history questionnaire. It makes a difference. For example:

• A single PSA (prostate blood test) alone is difficult to interpret, but in light of previous PSA values and symptoms, it has more meaning.
• Estrogen and progesterone blood levels alone are difficult to interpret, but in light of changes in menstrual blood flow or lower abdominal cramping, they have more meaning.
• Elevated inflammation biomarkers alone are non-specific, and hard to interpret, but reviewed in the context of headaches in the temples (a symptom of temporal arteritis that can lead to blindness), they have more meaning.

1. We will draw the blood here in the clinic, and obtain some other important measures:

• Obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, height.
• Measure waist and hip circumference
• Measure body fat percentage
• Get an electrocardiograph rhythm strip. (When Chip Brown, the witty author from Men’s Journal came out from New York to experience WellMax, the place that the Wall Street Journal called a “highly advanced medical center,” we discovered with his initial rhythm strip that he was in atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm that has an increased risk of strokes and blood clots. He had no idea he had the irregular rhythm prior to the visit. A lab test alone would not discover that.
• Obtain dynamometer grip strength. (One study found that strength correlated with long-term health).

2. Dr. Tang or Dr. Cosgrove will sit down with you face to face and ask you questions based upon your WellMax questionnaire. They listen, and get to know you before the BP250 results come back.
3. If you decide to add relevant gene tests or other specific emerging biomarkers specifically appropriate for your medical issues or risks, you can do it without any trouble at all.

Platinum WellMax evaluation including Biophysical 250

Empower the Biophysical by combining its information with other types of information: genetic, structural, and functional, and a comprehensive History and Physical. This is not your usual doctor visit. Newsweek wrote that WellMax provides “…the most comprehensive physical examination you can find…” and the Wall Street Journal wrote that WellMax “… is a highly advanced medical center.”

The standard Platinum WellMax evaluation includes many blood tests already found on the BP 250, so we delete duplicated tests and instead of adding the full price of the BP 250 (which costs $3400) we add $1500. To put it another way, add to your WellMax Platinum a BP 250 ($3400) then we will reduce the price of the Platinum by $2000. Remember, in addition to the BP 250 labs (BP 250 has no genetic information), the Platinum provides over 50 gene test results, such as the Apo E, CETP, and COMT. 

With the Platinum WellMax Evaluation, we create for you a Personal Health Portfolio, a complete digital medical record that includes all past doctors’ notes, images, and labs that we can obtain (minus those you don’t want to be included), and the BP 250 report and your entire WellMax Platinum evaluation.  All in one digital portable record, that you can access anywhere, anytime. 

The WellMax Platinum evaluation can be modified and the price reduced. For example, it includes a colonoscopy. We do not want to do unnecessary tests. If you have already had a recent colonoscopy, we will simply get that information and add it to your Personal Health Portfolio.
