Daniel S. Cosgrove, M.D.,
Medical Director

Dr. Cosgrove earned a psychobiology degree from UCLA. He received an M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis (rated number three out of 146 medical schools in the USA!) He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He holds a clinical faculty appointment at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

Dr. Cosgrove is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Medical Examiner. He was the Medical Director of Airstar International Air Ambulance for many years.

He has published several scientific articles, and has been recognized as a medical expert by the Superior Court of San Bernardino County. He is a prinicipal investigator in the KIMS human growth hormone study.

He is married to Dr. Doriana Cosgrove, an anesthesiologist. They have two sons and a daughter, and live in Rancho Mirage.

John F. Feller, M.D

Dr. Feller provides oversight for the WellMax early detection imaging programs. He completed his undergraduate training in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Notre Dame (1978-1982), graduating cum laude. He then attended the Ohio State University School of Medicine (1983-1987), graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Feller subsequently completed four years of postgraduate medical training at Stanford University School of Medicine (1987-1991), culminating in Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology. Following Fellowship training in orthopedic and body MRI (1992), Dr. Feller became Chief of MRI at David Grant USAF Medical Center, a position he maintained for four years (1992-1996).

Dr. Feller is currently the Medical Director of Desert Medical Imaging, The PET Center, Desert Medical Imaging of Indio and Desert Medical Imaging of Palm Springs, and is the MRI Consulting Radiologist for Desert Orthopedic Center. He maintains an academic affiliation with Stanford University where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology (1991-present). Dr. Feller has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and is an editor of the textbook Shoulder Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He has given over 200 invited lectures worldwide on orthopedic and body MR imaging, as well as on positron emission tomography (PET).

Les H. Alhadeff, M.D., M.P.H.Les H. Alhadeff, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Alhadeff has collaborated with WellMax for the past four years as a Life Coach and psychiatric physician. He provides WellMax patients with services such as life-wellness consultation, stress management, marital relationship and grief counseling as well as general psychiatric assessment.

Dr. Alhadeff graduated from Oberlin College then received his medical doctorate from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric residency at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill; where he also obtained his degree in health care management (MPH). Dr. Alhadeff is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is certified by ASAM in addictionology. He has won numerous awards, including Palm Springs Life Top 33 doctors for the past four years in a row, the Lambert award for delivery of quality care, and both the Laughlin and Mead Johnson Fellowships.

After finishing his formal education, Dr. Alhadeff was a hospital medical director and management consultant where he coached teams at Fortune 500 companies such as IBM and Sara Lee. Dr. Alhadeff has also held teaching appointments at University of Alabama and Loma Linda University in California, and has been on the Staff of the Betty Ford Center since 1992. He has always maintained a private practice specializing in the treatment of anxiety, bipolar disorder, marital and family problems as well as chemical dependency. Dr. Alhadeff has given numerous talks and published a number of articles about stress management, anxiety, life-style addictions, dream analysis, the Enneagram, workaholism and physical ailments exacerbated by the brain and nervous system.

Elijah BishopElijah Bishop, III, MPT, CMT

Elijah Bishop (Eli) attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, receiving a Bachelor degree in Sports Medicine with a minor in Nutritional Sciences in 1999. Shortly after, Elijah obtained a certification in massage therapy. In December of 2002, he obtained a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Brentwood, CA. Eli has worked with several prestigious clinics, including the HealthSouth Sports and Rehabilitation Center in Malibu, CA, and Athletic Physical Therapy in Westlake Village, CA.

Eli is the founder and director of Elite Physical Therapy and Wellness in La Quinta. He combines the principles of manual therapy, fitness, Pilates, and various forms of bodywork to restore function and improve one’s sense of well being.

Eli has developed sport-specific training regimens for several professional athletes, and is a sought after strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer. Drs. Cosgrove and Tang have been impressed also with Eli’s diagnostic abilities in his approach to patients with pain or weakness in the neck, low back, hip or knee. Then, he moves from diagnosis to results, with success in motivating patients into individualized elegant programs for strength and conditioning that patients continue long after their visit with him.

A one on one session with Eli is an integral part of the executive physical at WellMax. We are honored to partner with Eli in providing high quality fitness and musculoskeletal evaluations.

Libby Quigley, RDKris Walton

Kris is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Kris a former national swimmer and comes to us with a wide range of skills for sport specific training. Kris is certified through the International Sports Sciences Association as a Fitness Trainer and is also certified in CPR.

Kris is dedicated to her clients and wants to ensure that each individual, no matter what level of fitness, has a better understanding of how to become their personal best. She feels extremely lucky to be able to train each client on how to live a healthy active lifestyle.

Here specialties are in strenght and conditioning and adults, vertimax classes, circuit training, individual and group sessions and body fat testing.
